JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the programs such as Adal Padal programme on 29.04.2018 and 30.04.2018 at night 7.00 p.m to 12.00 p.m in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Thirukovil is siutated at Kattukudipatti, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioners representations dated 16.04.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
