(1.) The relief sought for in these writ petitions are for a direction to direct the 1st respondent to regularise the services of the petitioners, as per G.O. Ms. No.155, MAWS and to pay salary of Rs.4,500/-p.m., respectively.
(2.) The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners made a submission that the petitioners were appointed as daily wage employees. They were engaged as Boat Driver on daily wages. It is contended that the petitioners were allowed to continue as temporary daily wage employees for many years. However, the benefit of regularisation and permanent absorption has not been extended to the petitioners, inspite of the Government Orders passed in this regard.
(3.) The learned counsel for the petitioners states that the Government has issued orders to regualrise the services of the temporary employees, who are working for more than 10 years. However, the benefit extended by the Government has not been provided to the petitioners, inspite of the fact that they are fully qualified for regularisation and permanent absorption in the sanctioned post.
