JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to give the permission for conducting Aadal Padal on 13.05.2018 and give adequate police protection to be conducted in the "Arulmigu Sri Antharanatchi Amman, Sri Agashakaruppar, Sri Kunnukali and Sri Kunnu Ayyannar" is situated at Kummangudi, Athikaram Post, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
