JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and give necessary police protection for conducting Adal Padal Programme on 29.04.2018, in connection with the Festival of Punitha Saveriyar Kovil, which is siutated at Nathammadi Patti, Thiruverumber Taluk, Trichy - 11, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organised and conducted in every village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
