JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give the permission and adequate police protection for conducting Adal Padal Dance Programme on 25.06.2018 in the eve of Aani Pongal Festival infront of Arulmigu Sri Muthu Mariyamman Temple belongs to Selva Nagar Kamarajapuram, Ponnagar Trichy-01 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every Village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular Village will amount to discrimination.
