JUDGEMENT

(1.) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 20.07.2018 at night 09.00 to 12.00 hours in connection with "Aadi Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Thirukovil at Kulamangalam North Village, Alangudy Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every village all over the state, preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
