JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adal Padal scheduled to be held on 01.05.2018 at night 07.00 to 12.00 hours in connection with "Chithirai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Pagavathy Amman Temple at Nadumandalam, K.Pudur Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018 and 19.04.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organised and conducted in every village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
