JUDGEMENT

(1.) The relief sought for in this writ petition is to call for the records relating to the orders in (i). Pro.Na.Ka.No.012605/E1/2015 dated 11.08.2016, of the 2nd respondent and (2) Endt.Aa.thi.Mu.No.610/A/2016 dated 27.08.2016 of the 4th respondent quash the said orders and to direct the respondents to grant incentive increments to the petitioner w.e.f 28.11.2011 for having acquired higher qualification B.Ed., degree.

(2.) The writ petitioner was initially appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in Namagiripet Panchayat Union. She acquired B.Lit., degree qualification in Tamil in May 1993 through University of Madras. Thereafter, she was promoted as Elementary School Headmaster on 11.07.2005 and on 20.05.2010, she was promoted as Middle School Headmistress. She also acquired B.Ed., degree in the year 2011. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that on 01.04.2016, she sent a representation to the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Namagripettai for grant of incentive increments w.e.f., 28.12011 for having B.Ed., degree through Indira Gandhi National Open University. However, the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Namagiripettai, passed orders in proceedings dated 11.08.2016, 27.08.2016. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

The entire case of the writ petitioner rest on the ground that the similarly placed persons, who served in the promotional cadre of P.G.Assistant were sanctioned with the third incentive increment on acquisition of higher qualification of M.Phil., Degree. Thus, the same benefit is to be extended to the writ petitioner also.
