JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Aadalpadal scheduled to be held on 22.07.2018 at night in connection with "Mulaipari Urchava Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Temple at V.O.C. Street, Ponnaiyapillai Street, Kalaiyarkovil Village, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every Village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular Village will amount to discrimination.
