(1.) THIS petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to regularise the services of the petitioner in the cadre of typist in Mamallapuram Town Panchayat.
(2.) IT has been submitted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that the Tamilnadu Administrative Tribunal had passed an interim order in O.A.No.6056 of 1994, dated 20.12.94, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as a typist in the Mamallapuram Town Panchayat, on a regular basis. However, contrary to the directions issued by the Tribunal, the third respondent had appointed the 5th respondent, namely, V.Ravikumar, as a typist. The petitioner had filed a miscellaneous application in M.A.No.936 of 1995 in O.A.No.6056 of 1994. The Tribunal had passed an order, dated 24.3.95, directing the respondents to post the applicant as a typist in Mamallapuram Township, within two weeks from the date of the said order. Challenging the said order of the Tribunal, dated 24.3.1995, the Director of Town Panchayat, Chennai, had filed a review application in R.A.No.99 of 1995. By an order, dated 13.12.95, the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal had directed the respondents to appoint the petitioner forthwith and had also stated that action would be taken against the respondents for contempt of Court on their failure to do so. IT has been further submitted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that the said order had become final and the petitioner had been appointed as a typist on a regular basis in the Mamallapuram Town Panchayat, based on the said order of the Tribunal, dated 13.12.1995. In such circumstances, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition.
