JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD the learned counsels appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(2.) IT is stated by the petitioner that she has been working as a Helper in the Child Welfare Centre, Karunapuram, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram Ramasamy Padayatchiar District. She was appointed in the said post, on 29.6.1982, by the proceedings of the Commissioner, Kallakurichi Panchayat Union, in Na.Ka.No.A8/3755/82, dated 29.6.1982. The petitioner has further stated that the post of Noon Meal Organizer at Karunapuram Centre, where the petitioner has been working, had fallen vacant due to the resignation of one Mrs. S. Senthamarai. Even though the petitioner is fully qualified to be promoted to the said post, the second respondent has been promoted, overlooking the claims of the petitioner.
