(1.) The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to quash the order passed by the second respondent dated 20.6.2014 and to direct the respondents to give Junior Assistant Post to him by way of compassionate appointment.
(2.) The mother of the writ petitioner was working as Teacher in the Government School and died on 15.09.2003, when she was in service. The Application submitted by the petitioner seeking for appointment on compassionate was considered and rejected by the second respondent by an order dated 20.06.2014, by stating that the writ petitioner has completed his B.E., degree in Engineering and working in a Private Sector. The sister of he writ petitioner and the wife of the writ petitioner are working as Teachers in the Government Schools and thus, the family of the writ petitioner cannot be considered to be in indigent circumstances.

From the above facts, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petitioner's family is not in indigent circumstances and if this kind of Applications are entertained, it would amounts to abuse of the very Scheme of the Appointment on Compassionate grounds. Thus, the order of rejection passed by the second respondent by an order dated 20.06.2014, is in order and there is no infirmity. The Counter affidavit filed in this regard stats that the family members of the writ petitioner are all employed and therefore the writ petitioner's request for appointing him as Junior Assistant on compassionate grounds could not be considered. Accordingly, the grounds raised in this Writ Petition deserves no merit consideration. This apart, the scope of appointment on compassionate grounds itself is well enumerated in the following Judgments by this Court, which is extracted hereunder:
