(3.) IN W. P. No. 32958/2006 the main challenge is that the amendment exempting Ph. D. from NET and SLET for all P. G. and U. G. courses and M. Phil for U. RAJ SINGH ). In view of the challenge made to the said amendment to the U. G. C. Regulations the petitioners in other writ petitions who seek to challenge the Advt. No. 4/2006-07 apart from the basic challenge as regards the exemption granted to Ph. D. and M. Phil from holding NET or SLET as provided in the amendment to the U. G. C. Regulations have also made the challenge on other grounds, namely, weightage marks awarded to holders of Ph. D and M. Phil with or without NET or SLET.
