JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has come forward with this petition for a direction to the respondent, to register a First Information Report based on the complaint dated 24. 10. 2007 given by the petitioner.

(2.) HEARD the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side ).

(3.) CONSIDERING the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the respondent is directed to consider the complaint and if the allegations contained in the complaint discloses the commission of any cognizable offence, the respondent shall register a case as per the mandatory provision under Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, investigate the same in accordance with law and file the final report as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. However it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the allegations contained in the complaint. This Petition is ordered accordingly.
