JUDGEMENT

(1.) BY consent of the counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondents, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

(2.) THE prayer in this writ petition is to direct the 1st respondent to regularise the services of the petitioner in the post of Lecturer in the Department of English Language Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University from 14.9.1998 with all attendant benefits.

(3.) MR.S. Sethuraman, learned counsel appearing for the respondents had stated that even though the last date of receipt of the duly filled applications was 27.2.2006, the petitioner could be permitted to send the application which would be duly considered on merits.
