JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner by name Suguna, cousin sister of the detenue Vasuki, has filed this petition seeking to grant Parole to the detenue Vasuki, wife of Radhakrishnan for 3 days, who is now detained in Special Prison for Women, Vellore in pursuance of the detention order passed by the second respondent on 03. 10. 2005.

(2.) IT is stated that the detenue's husband Radhakrishnan, died on 0 9. 04. 2006 at 10. 30 a. m. The death memo issued by the Superintendent Government Stanly Hospital, Chennai supports the above version. The said memo is available at page 1 of the typed set of papers. The learned government Advocate, on verification, confirms the above version. In such circumstances, we are inclined to accede to the request of the petitioner. Accordingly, parole is granted to the detenue by name Vasuki, wife of Radhakrishnan, who is now detained at Special Prison for women, Vellore for a period of four days i. e. , 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of April, 2006. The superintendent, Special Prison for Women, Vellore is directed to provide necessary escort for the detenue and the detenue has to come back to prison before 6. 00 p. m. on 13th April, 2006. This petition is ordered accordingly.
