JUDGEMENT

(1.) A further status report has been filed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Keeranur, Pudukkottai District.

(2.) A perusal of the same would reveal that efforts have been taken to locate the missing child, who is a minor born on 16/3/2009 and had been missing on and from 10/7/2025, in respect of which, the second respondent had registered a FIR in Cr.No.78 of 2025 initially under the categorisation of girl missing, but subsequently, owing to information received altered into Sec. 140(3) BNS on 8/9/2025.

(3.) We would urge the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Keeranur, Pudukkottai District to take further steps to locate the young child. We may be constrained to transfer the investigation, if no further substantial progress is reported to this Court.
