JUDGEMENT

(1.) First respondent, namely, the District Magistrate and District Collector, Coimbatore, clamped an order of detention under Section 3 (3) of The National Security Act, 1980, (Central Act 65 of 1980), as against one Mohanraj @ Sakthivel, son of P.Shanmugam, with a view to prevent him, from acting, in any manner, prejudicial to the maintenance of public order.

(2.) Challenging the said order of detention, the detenu has come before this Court.

(3.) Heard Mr.G.Karthikeyan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Abudu Kumar Rajarathnam, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), for respondents 1,2 and 4, and Mr.K.Rajendran, learned Additional Central Government Standing Counsel, for the fourth respondent.
