JUDGEMENT

(1.) The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct 'Adal Padal' Cultural Programme on 31/3/2023 at about 7.00 P.M. to 11.00 P.M. on behalf of Anna Nagar, Pudhupattinam Vizha Construction Workers and 2/4/2023 at about 7.00 P.M. to 11.00 P.M. on behalf of Village people residing in Kalaingar Nagar, Xavier Nagar, Naval Nagar, Padmanaban Nagar, in pursuant to the Temple festival of Arulmigu Angala Eswari Muneeswarar Temple stiuated at Vilar Salai, Anna Nagar, Thanjavur District, based on the petitioner representation, dtd. 19/3/2023.

(2.) Mr.S.Manikandan, learned Government Advocate (Crl. side), takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that Temple festival of Arulmigu Angala Eswari Muneeswarar Temple stiuated at Vilar Salai, Anna Nagar, Thanjavur District, is going to be held on 31/3/2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme on 31/3/2023, they sought permission of the Police by giving a representation dtd. 19/3/2023. But, the second respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
