JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting the village Cultural programme on 12/4/2023 at about 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm as part of temple festival of Arulmigu Shri Kaliamman and Mariamman Temple at S.Melapatti, Sandaiyur Post, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation, dtd. 27/3/2023.

(2.) Mr.S.Manikandan, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, Arulmigu Shri Kaliamman and Mariamman Temple at S.Melapatti, Sandaiyur Post, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District is going to be held on 12/4/2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme on 12/4/2023 at 7.00 pm to 11.000 pm they sought permission of the police by giving a representation, dtd. 27/3/2023. But, the 2nd respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
