JUDGEMENT

(1.) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural program (ie.,) Adal Padal on 27/3/2023 at 07.00 PM to 10.00 PM in the evening of 'Arul Migu Sri Periyanayagi Adika Samatha Sri Kailasanathar Thirukovil Maha Kumbabishaka Thiruvizha', Siruvayalur, Lalkudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District by considering the petitioner's representation dtd. 13/3/2023.

(2.) Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, 'Arul Migu Sri Periyanayagi Adika Samatha Sri Kailasanathar Thirukovil' at Siruvayalur, Lalkudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District is going to be held on 27/3/2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme on 27/3/2023 at 07.00 PM to 10.00 PM, they sought permission of the police by giving a representation dtd. 13/3/2023. But, the second respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
