JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, directing the respondents herein to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting the Annual Village Temple Festival of Arulmigu Sri Vinayagar, Sri Kaliamman, Sri Mariamman, Sri Muniyandi and Sri Karuppannasamy situated at S.Paraipatti, Singarakottai, Vedasendur Taluk, Dindigul District scheduled to be held from 31/3/2023 to 4/4/2023 by considering the representation dtd. 23/3/2023 sent by the petitioner.

(2.) Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, "Arulmigu Sri Vinayagar, Sri Kaliamman, Sri Mariamman, Sri Muniyandi and Sri Karuppannasamy" at S.Paraipatti, Singarakottai, Vedasendur Taluk, Dindigul District, is going to be held from 31/3/2023 to 4/4/2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme from 31/3/2023 to 4/4/2023 3/5/2023, they sought permission of the police by giving a representation dtd. 23/3/2023. But, the third respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
