JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission to perform the programme on 12/4/2023 at 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm at T.Pudukottai Village, Sri Karuppasamy Manjana Pechiyamman Temple, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District and to provide police protection based on his representation, dtd. 8/4/2023.

(2.) Mr.R. Sureshkumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, Sri Karuppasamy Manjana Pechiyamman Temple, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District is going to be held on 12/4/2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme on 12/4/2023 at 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm they sought permission of the police by giving a representation, dtd. 8/4/2023. But, the respondents have not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
