JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE prayer in this writ petition is seeking for a Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to sponsor the petitioner's name in the seniority list to the first respondent for the post of T.G.T. (Mathematics) or Graduate Assistant (Mathemetics) as the Statistics degree is equallent to the Mathematics degree as per the communication of the first respondent immediately based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2010.

(2.) THE third respondent filed a counter affidavit and submitted that the petitioner's name was omitted, to be included in the panel even though as per the then existing Rule B.Sc., (Statistics) is equallent to B.Sc., (Mathematics). However, the said omission was rectified by the third respondent and the name of the petitioner was forwarded by the third respondent to the second respondent through his proceedings dated 24.02.2011 and consequently, the second respondent had also sponsored the name of the petitioner to first respondent through letter dated 18.07.2011 for the post of Graduate Assistant (Maths) under Backward Class (other) Non Priority General Turn.
