JUDGEMENT

(1.) With the consent of both parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

(2.) The petitioner was working as B.T. Assistant (Science) in Government High School, Mettukuppam, Panrutti, Cuddalore District. He joined the service on 30.08.2006. His retirement on superannuation falls on 30.6.2013. Further, the service of the petitioner is without any blemish.

(3.) According to the petitioner, he shall be continued in service till the end of the academic year 2013-2014. He made a representation dated 24.5.2013. His representation was rejected on the ground that he has not rendered ten years of service. Now, he is on the verge of retirement. In the circumstances, he has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to give him re-employment till the end of the academic year 2013-2014 i.e, 31.05.2014 as B.T. Assistant (Science) in Government High School, Mettukuppam, Panrutti, Cuddalore District.
