JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner prays for issuance of a Writ in the nature of Certiorari, to quash the order O.Mu.No.A4-619/2012 dated 31.7.2012 rejecting the request of the petitioner for appointment as B.T.Graduate Assistant in History, in the minority institution.

(2.) THE petitioner submits that he is qualified in B.A.(History), B.A.(Economics), M.A.(History), M.A.(Economics), B.Ed.,(History) and M.Ed.,. The petitioner after completing the school studies in 10 + 2 stream joined B.A. (Economics) Degree Course in Holy Cross College of Arts and Science, Tiruchirapalli in the academic year 1984 to 1987. The college where the petitioner studied was affiliated to Bharathidasan University.

(3.) IT is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that in view of the decision of the Government in recognising the programme conducted by Annamalai University and the fact that the Ministry of Human Resources Department also approved that the Degrees/Diplomas awarded by the Universities established under an act of parliament or State Legislature under Section 3 of the U.G.C.Act of 1956, the degree of the petitioner automatically stands recognised.
