A.RAMACHANDRAN Vs. GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner prays for issuance of a Writ in nature of Mandamus to direct the respondents to admit the petitioner in MBBS course for the academic year 2012-2013 against the quota reserved for physically handicapped person based on the disability certificate issued to the petitioner by the District Medical Board, Madurai, on 24.05.2012.

(2.) THE petitioner belongs to the scheduled caste community and he is physically handicapped due to Cerebral Palsy having permanent disability in the lower limb.

(3.) AS per the prospectus issued by the third respondent, 51 seats were earmarked for physically handicapped for MBBS course and 3 seats were earmarked for physically handicapped for BDS course.
