B. SUBBURAJ Vs. UNION OF INDIA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner prays for issuance of a Writ, in the nature of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent, to consider the name of the petitioner, for the appointment to the post of Constable (GD) for the year 2011.

(2.) THE Regional Director (SR), Staff Selection Commission, E.V.K. Sambath Building second floor, College Road, Chennai invited applications for the post of Constable (GD) in CSIF, CRPF, BSF and SSB, 2011. The petitioner applied for the post, and attended the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) conducted on 19.04.2011 at Yadava College, Madurai. The petitioner was declared to have qualified in the Physical Tests.

(3.) THE petitioner had competed for appointment under OBC Category, and as per the result, the last person to be selected for the post of Constable in OBC category had secured 33 marks.
