JUDGEMENT

(1.) WRIT Petition is filed praying to issue a WRIT of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to restore/reconnect the disconnected electricity service connection No.109-075-932 on receipt of necessary charges to petitioner's premises bearing door No.511, Mint Street, George-town, Chennai-600079.

(2.) MR.A.Selvendran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents electricity board. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

(3.) IN view of the nature of relief sought for and the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the representation/reply dated 23.3.2011 on its own merits and in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any third party will be aggrieved by such order, the authority shall proceed in the matter as per the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
