RATNAKAR RAMAN Vs. UNION OF INDIA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents herein to post the petitioner as Inspector General of Police to be placed along with his juniors and be conferred with other consequential benefits thereto.

(2.) HEARD Mr.G.Suriya Narayanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Rajendraprasad, learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

(3.) CONSIDERING the nature of relief sought for and the fact that the petitioner made several representations long back without going into the merits of the claim, this Court is of the view that the petitioner should be permitted to make a fresh representation as on today along with the copy of the order, ventilating his bonafide grievance. As and when such representation is made the authority will consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
