JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.09/DSP-OMK/MIKE/2020, dated 12.02.2020, issued by the second respondent and direct the respondents to grant permission to organize public meeting for Social Integrity meeting (Samuga Nallenaka Pothukuttam) on 17.02.2020 from 06.00 p.m to 10.00 p.m at Othakkdai, Narasingam Road, Madurai District.

(2.) Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.C.Nallu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Omachikulam Sub-Division, Madurai District is present before this Court.
