JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct Public Meeting on 28.01.2020 at about 05.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m near Goripalayam Mosque on the 23rd memorial day of one Social Reformer namely, Dr.Palanibaba @ Ahammed Ali by considering the petitioner's representations dated 12.01.2020 and 18.01.2020 within the time stipulated by this Court.

(2.) Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a member of one Social Movement namely, Islamiya Sevai Sangam" and he is working among the downtrodden people for their socio, economic and political development on democratic ways. He would further submit that Dr.Palanibaba @ Ahammed Ali, who is leader of Islamic religion and social reformer, had worked among the people for their socio and political development and he is Icon of Islamic community. The petitioner's people are followers of said Dr.Palanibaba @ Ahammed Ali and they have been conducting memorial event on 28th January on every year. Further, he would submit that the petitioner's organizers have decided to conduct his 23rd memorial day on 28.01.2020 as political awareness meeting near Goripalayam Mosque. In this regard, the petitioner sent representations on 12.01.2020 and 18.01.2020 to the third respondent. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
