JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr.G.R.Swaminathan, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as Mr.R.Manoharan, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

(2.) In view of the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court, in M.P.(MD) No.1 of 2009, in W.P.(MD) No.9637 of 2009, on 24.09.2009, this Court is inclined to pass a similar order. Therefore, the respondents are directed to permit the petitioner to perform "Eruthu Kattuthal" event, on 27.09.2010, in connection with the temple festival of Sree Pudukaliamman Ayyanar Koil, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District, subject to the following conditions:

(3.) The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
