This writ petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to make a reference, of Award No.1 of 2004, dated 30.6.2004, in respect of Gangavaram Village, S.No.494/1, having an extent of 4.28 acres, said to be belonging to the petitioners, under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
(2.) The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that only after a reference is made to the concerned Civil Court, under Section 30 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, the matter can be referred, under Section 18 of the said Act, as prayed for by the petitioners.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, the first respondent is directed to refer the matter to the concerned Civil Court, having jurisdiction to deal with it, under Section 30 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, it is open to the petitioners to make a request to the appropriate authority to refer the matter, under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, after establishing their title before the concerned Civil Court. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
