JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned Senior Advocate Mr.Yatin Oza assisted by learned advocate Ms.Nirali Oza for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader Mr.Manan Mehta for the respondent?State and its authorities.

(2.) The petitioner was aggrieved by non?granting of promotion to him to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police. The petitioner, presently holding the post of Police Inspector, by filing the present petition, therefore, prayed as under,

(3.) In response to the petition and the prayer made therein as above, respondent No.1?State Government filed affidavit?in?reply dated 10.06.2019 affirmed by one Amit Kantilal Upadhyay, described as holding the post of Under Secretary, Home Department, Government of Gujarat.
