JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned advocates appearing for the respective parties.

(2.) The present petition is directed against order of detention dated 01.06.2018 passed by the respondent detaining authority in exercise of powers conferred under section 3(2) of the Gujarat Prevention of Anti Social Activities Act, 1985 (for short "the Act") by detaining the petitioner detenue as defined under section 2(bbb) of the Act.

(3.) The case of the petitioner is that on account of two offences which are registered as C.R. No. I-12 of 2018 with GIDC Vatva Police Station on 15.02018 and C.R. No. I-70 of 2018 registered with Vatva Police Station on 10.05.2018, though the petitioner was released on regular bail and there is no material sufficient enough to arraigned the petitioner, still the authority without application of mind has passed the order of detention which is made the subject matter of present petition. The Court after perusal of the material was pleased to admit the petition on 106.2018 and thereafter, it has come up for final hearing before this Court, in which learned advocate Ms. Krishna Mishra has represented the petitioner whereas Mr. Bharat Vyas, learned AGP has appeared on behalf of the respondent State. With this background, the present petition is being taken up for final hearing.
