JUDGEMENT

(1.) Mr. Kirtidev R. Dave, learned advocate for the petitioners, is permitted to join "The Secretary, Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department, Government of Gujarat, Block No.9/3 Sardar Bhavan, Sachivalay, Gandhinagar" as party respondent No.8.

(2.) Amendment to be carried out forthwith.

(3.) By way of present writ petition filed in the nature of Public Interest Litigation, the residents of four villages namely Kanthkot, Jadsa, Dhadodhar and Trambo of Taluka Bhachau have raised grievances that though the main Narmada canal known as Kachchh Branch Canal is passing through near the aforesaid villages and they are not getting water from the said canal and also unable to carry out the agricultural activities like other villages, which are adjacent to aforesaid four villages.
