JINKAL JITENDRABHAI OZA Vs. STATE OF GUJARAT

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present petition is filed by the petitioner for correction in the name of the Petitioner from "Jignasa" to "Jinkal" in the records and to issue fresh birth certificate showing the name of the petitioner as "Jinkal". The petitioner has prayed to quash and set-aside the order passed by the respondent authority dtd. 21/3/2023 and direct the respondent authority to consider the application dtd. 20/2/2022 filed by the petitioner, which is produced at Annexure "C".

(2.) Heard Ms. Bhakti Joshi, the learned advocate appearing for Mr. M.T. Saiyed, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, Ms. Dharitri Pancholi, the learned AGP for respondent No.1 and Ms. Niyati Chauhan, the learned advocate appearing for Mr. Rituraj Meena, the learned advocate appearing for respondent No.2.

Ms. Bhakti Joshi, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submitted that the name of the petitioner herein is entered into the birth certificate by mistake as "Jignasa" in place of "Jinkal". It was submitted that at the time of registration of name of the petitioner herein, the name was wrongly entered in the Birth Register as "Jignasa" instead of "Jinkal".
