JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition is filed with a prayer to direct the respondent authority to consider the case, for promotion on the post of Driver. It is case of the petitioner that since he is working as Driver w.e.f. 1/6/1996, he may be considered for regularisation. The petitioner for the said relief, has filed representation before the authority and the same is pending.

(2.) Heard learned advocate Mr.Hemant Makwana for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader Ms.Pooja Ashar for the respondent, on advance copy.

(3.) Learned advocate Mr.Hemant Makwana for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has joined services as a daily wager Driver to ply tanker w.e.f. 1/6/1996. Thereafter, his services have been continued from time to time. In support of his submission, he relied upon Annexure "D" to justify his length of service. Mr.Makwana submitted that therefore the respondent authority may be directed to consider the representation accordingly.
