JUDGEMENT

(1.) WE have heard Mr.T.R.Mishra, learned counsel with Mr.H.B.Singh, learned advocate for the petitioners and Mr.Ramnandan Singh, learned counsel with Mr.Ravi Karnavat, learned advocate for the respondents.

(2.) RULE . Mr.Ravi Karnavat, learned advocate waives service of rule for respondents.

(3.) THE petitioners are working in District Valsad under the control of Inspector General, Western Region, Mumbai i.e. respondent No.3 as ancillary staff of the Railway Protection Force ('RPF', for short) and they are working as Constables (Kahar, Cook, Mali, Safaiwala) with respondents in the Group 'D' cadre of RPF Training Centre, Dharampur Road, Valsad in the pay scale of Rs.4440-7440-1400 in pay band of Rs.1400/- and some of the petitioners are in pay band of Rs.1800/-.
