JUDGEMENT

(1.) . Rule returnable forthwith. Mr. Kurven Desai, learned Assistant Government Pleader, waives service of notice of rule on behalf of respondent No.1, Mr.Chaitanya Joshi, learned advocate, waives service of notice of rule on behalf of respondent No.2. With consent of the learned advocates for the respective parties, the matter is taken up for final hearing today.

(2.) . The prayer in this petition is that the respondents be directed to recommend the name of the present petitioners for appointment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-II, by operating the list to the extent of the vacancies in respective categories that have arisen through the life time of the Wait List and further be pleased to direct the respondents to appoint the present petitioners accordingly.

(3.) . Facts in brief would indicate that the advertisement was issued by the Gujarat public Service Commission in the year 2018-2019 for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-II. 285 vacant posts were so advertised.
