(1.) This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed challenging the order dtd. 7/7/2014 (Annexure-A) by which the service of the petitioner as Anganwadi worker was terminated. The basis for termination was supply of inaccurate/misleading information regarding her marital status.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that appointment was pursuant to the Advertisement, which stipulated certain requirements for appointment of Anganwadi worker, were one of the relevant conditions that candidate should be residing in the very ward, for which the appointment is sought and that the candidate should be married.
(3.) It is submitted that as a proof of marriage, Advertisement stipulated Marriage Registration Certificate to be valid document. It is submitted that however, rival candidate had filed Civil Suit on the ground that the date of marriage specified in the Marriage Certificate is inaccurate and as a matter of fact, the petitioner had married on some other date other than date of Marriage Certificate for that purpose, rival candidate had relied upon the Invitation card, which mentioned another date of marriage.
