(1.) Heard learned advocates for the respective parties.

From the record, it appears that the present petitioner is having arms license and had filed appeal for the renewal of the arms license and the renewal was denied by the respondent - District Magistrate. The Home Department has also passed the order of denying the order of arms license. According to the petitioner, he is holding the license since last 13 years and he is required license for his protection. According to the appellate authority, there is no threat to the petitioner and therefore, the license is not required by him and has denied the same.
(3.) At the time of hearing, learned advocate for the petitioner has relied on the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court rendered in L.P.A. No.290 of 2016 in case of Ashokkumar Bhikhaji Thakor v. State of Gujarat, where the complaint was filed against the petitioner and the license was revoked by the authority. Relying on the said judgment, learned advocate for the petitioner has contended that in present case, the license was not renewed on the ground that there is no threat to the petitioner.
