JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned advocate for the petitioner and learned AGP for the respondent - State.

(2.) By way of the present petition, the petitioner detenue has prayed to quash and set aside the order of detention dated 26.03.2019 passed by the concerned authority in exercise of powers conferred under the provisions of the Gujarat Prevention of Anti Social Activities Act, 1985 (for short 'the PASA Act') by detaining the detenue as a 'dangerous person' as defined under Section 2(c) of the Act.

(3.) The detenue came to be detained as dangerous person on his involvement in two offences being C.R. No.I-68/2017 and C.R. No.I-110/2017, both registered with City A Division Police Station, Morbi.
