JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner of Special Civil Application No.3950/2010, seeks admission in the course of M.Sc. (Nursing), a Post Graduate Nursing course for the academic year 2010-2011 offered by the respondents. The petitioner has challenged the validity of relevant rules and regulations which provide for preference in admission to the candidates graduating from the Gujarat University.

(2.) Special Civil Application No.4622/2010 has been filed by the students who have also applied for the same course. They are the students who have passed the qualifying examination from the Gujarat University. They have made two fold prayers. First prayer is for a direction to the Gujarat University to give first chance for admission in the course of M.Sc. Nursing to them. Second grievance is with respect to the decision of the University to fill up only 20 seats in the said course as against earlier notified 25 seats.
