ARUN KUMAR Vs. STATE OF UTTARAKHAND

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Present Application has been filed for grant of regular bail in connection with the Case Crime No.92 of 2023, registered at police station Khanpur, District Haridwar. Applicant is in judicial custody under Sec. 9/ Sec. 39 read with Sec. 51 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.

(2.) As per prosecution, informant Naveen Singh Chauhan, Sub-Inspector, was busy in checking the vehicles along with other police personnel on 7/4/2023. On a secret information, present applicant Arun Kumar and co-accused Deepak were apprehended by the police. At that time, they were on a scooter. Applicant was pillion rider. Police recovered six live tortoise from a plastic bag carried by the present applicant. After completion of the investigation, charge-sheet has been filed.
