ABID Vs. STATE OF UTTARAKHAND

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioners- Mohd. Abid, Kishavar Jahan, Shafeek Ahmad, Nadeem, Afsaar Ahmad, Modammad Ahmad, Imran Ahmad, Asta Bee seek quashing of the FIR No.131 of 2023, dtd. 8/7/2023, under Ss. 323, 342, 498-A, 504 and 506 and Sec. ' of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, Police Station Pulbhatta, District- Udham Singh Nagar, on the basis of amicable settlement between the parties. A joint compounding application has been filed along with the affidavits.

(2.) Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

(3.) Learned counsel for the parties would submit that they have settled the dispute; the husband and the wife have settled to stay separate. He would also submit that petitioner no.7, Imran Ahmad, is not present, and other petitioners are present before this Court.
