(1.) By way of present application / petition, moved under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., the applicants seek a direction to the court below to expedite the hearing of case no. 188 of 2010, Smt. Amanpreet Kaur and another vs. Harpreet Singh Mand, under Section 125 of Cr.P.C., pending before the court of learned Judge, Family Court, Camp Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar.
(2.) Learned counsel for the applicants submitted that applicant no. 1 Amanpreet Kaur was married to Harpreet Singh on 08.01.2007 as per Sikh rites and rituals. A son, who is now aged 51/2 years, was born out of said wedlock. The son is applicant no. 2 in this petition. After the marriage, the in-laws of applicant no. 1 put pressure on her and demanded dowry worth Rs. 20 lakhs and a Santro car. When the applicant no. 1 informed her parents about the demand made by her inlaws, then the parents of applicant no. 1 gave a sum of Rs. 3,00,000/- to her in-laws. In the intervening night of 01.03.2010 and 02.03.2010, the husband alongwith his family members assaulted and ousted applicant no. 1 from her matrimonial house. Applicant no. 1 rushed to her parents and told them the entire story.

On 18.08.2010, the applicant no. 1 filed case no. 188 of 2010 under Section 125 of Cr.P.C. before the Judge, Family Court, Camp Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar for maintenance, in which the applicant demanded Rs. 15,000/- for the livelihood of herself and her son. So many dates have been given in the matter, but there is no headway in the disposal of the case.
