SAHRUKH Vs. STATE OF UTTARAKHAND

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking quashing of an FIR No. 32 of 2020, under Sections 3/5/11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007 and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, Police Station Bahadrabad, District Haridwar.

(2.) Heard learned counsel for the parties through video conferencing.

(3.) According to the FIR, on 14.02.2020, Police recovered 95 kg beef and other articles. One person was arrested, who is co-accused Parvez, but other persons present at the spot managed to escape. One of them was Mona son of Ilias.
