ATHUL SOMAN Vs. EXCISE CIRCLE INSPECTOR

JUDGEMENT

(1.) This application is filed under Sec. 439 of the Cr.P.C.

(2.) The applicant herein is the 1st accused in Crime No.25 of 2018 registered at the Amaravila Excise Range, under Sec. 20(b)(ii)B of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

(3.) On 7.6.2018 at 8 PM, the motorcycle on which the applicant herein and the 2nd accused were travelling was intercepted by the Excise officials of the Amaravilla Excise Range. A search was conducted and 2.165 kgs of Ganga were found concealed in the back pack worn by the applicant. The contraband articles were seized and the accused were arrested. They are in custody since then.
